INFORMATION ON THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION OF

DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND BUILDING ENGINEERING, INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE PROGRAM COMMENCING OCTOBER 2007

(For applicants residing in Japan)

 

Applicants to the Masters Course in Architectural Design, Department of Architecture and Building Engineering are required to follow the written procedures furnished in the PROSPECTUS FOR INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE PROGRAM issued by the Tokyo Institute of Technology.


The gwritten examinationh to be held on August 21, 2007 will consist of two short theses regarding architectural design and history (in approximately 300 words each) and an architectural design & drawing examination in A2 size responding to an assignment presented at the test site (the testing time is four hours). For the architectural design & drawing examination the applicants are required to bring their writing instruments (color presentation is permissible), triangles, scales and erasers to the examination room.


Applicants who pass the gwritten examination,h are required to take an interview examination on September 5, 2007. At the interview the applicant should submit his/her portfolios. They will be carefully evaluated. If they include collaborative works, the applicant should define his/her role in the project.
